Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 August 2026
This policy explains what Myra does with your information. It is short because Myra collects very little.
1. Who we are
Myra is made by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [ADDRESS]. You can reach us at hello@myraapp.co.
2. There is no account
Myra does not ask you to register. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, date of birth or any other identifier. You can use every feature of the app without telling us who you are.
3. Your health information stays on your device
Everything you log — migraine attacks, pain levels, symptoms, medication, sleep, stress, hydration, notes — is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple’s on-device database. It is not uploaded to us. It is not synced to iCloud. It is not shared with anyone. We have no ability to read your health information, because there is no server on which it exists.
4. Location and weather
If you allow it, Myra uses your approximate location to retrieve local barometric pressure. Here is exactly how that works: Location accuracy is requested at roughly one kilometre — far coarser than GPS precision — because atmospheric pressure does not vary meaningfully below that distance. Coordinates are rounded to two decimal places before they are used or stored anywhere. Those rounded coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com), a free weather service, in order to retrieve the forecast for your area. Open-Meteo receives coordinates only. It receives nothing about your health, your app usage, or your identity. Their own privacy practices are described on their website. Your location is never sent to us, and it is never stored anywhere outside your device. You may decline location access entirely, or choose a city manually instead. Every other part of the app works normally either way.
5. No tracking, no analytics, no advertising
Myra contains no analytics software, no advertising software, no crash-reporting service, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not build a profile of you. We do not sell or share information with advertisers, data brokers, insurers, employers or anyone else — because we do not have any information to sell or share.
6. Notifications
If you enable notifications, they are generated on your device. No notification server is involved and no push token is transmitted to us or to anyone else.
7. Purchases
Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple. We never receive your name, payment card, billing address or any other payment information. Apple provides us only with anonymous, aggregated sales reports that cannot be traced back to an individual.
8. This website
If you enter your email address on myraapp.co to be notified when Myra launches, we store that address for the sole purpose of sending you a message at launch. We do not use it for anything else, we do not share it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by writing to hello@myraapp.co. This applies to the website only. The app itself still collects nothing.
9. Your control over your data
Export. You can export all of your data as a CSV file at any time, at no cost. This is available on the free plan and always will be. Deletion. Settings contains a “Delete all data” action that permanently removes every log from your device. Uninstalling the app also deletes all of its data. Because we never receive your health data, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf and no request you need to send us. If you have written to us by email, you can ask us to delete that correspondence at hello@myraapp.co. Depending on where you live, you may have statutory rights to access, correct, delete or port personal information we hold about you. In practice, the only personal information we may hold is an email address you gave us voluntarily. Write to hello@myraapp.co and we will act on any such request.
10. Children
Myra is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that affects how your information is handled, we will update the date at the top and describe the change in the app’s release notes. If a future version of Myra ever offers optional cloud backup or synchronisation, it will be switched off by default, clearly explained before you turn it on, and this policy will be updated before that feature ships.
